33rd Annual Red Lion Street Fair Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, 9am-4pm
Local Businesses Make It Happen
The 33rd annual Red Lion Street Fair will be August 8, 2009 at the
downtown center-square of Red Lion (intersection of Routes 24 and 74)
in York County, Pennsylvania.
Applications for vendors are now available. Questions about the event and requests
for applications can be directed to info@rlaba.com or (717) 244-0886
or by mail at 651 Lombard Road, #122, Red Lion, PA 17356. Please include your phone number and mailing address with any requests. Applications
for vendors in the Street Fair will NOT be accepted after June 30th.
Strong community support enables the street fair to grow each year.
Red Lion Tours and Travel provide a bus for free shuttle service between the High School and the street fair all day.
Lion Pharmacy and the Borough itself offer the use of the downtown Center Square and parking lot for the main-stage performances.
Over 150 local businesses and vendors are open and set up stands. There will be an official CASI sanctioned chili cook off in the Center Square parking lot. Download the event flyer for more information to enter your best chili!
With over 150 vendors - crafts, foods and art will fill the streets of the downtown. Historical displays plus hot rods and dance performances are also planned. Balloon twister, face painting clowns, and all day dunk tank (manned by York Area Regional Police).
Other performances during the event include Drum and Bugle Corps, OH! Gills Irish Dancers, B*Dazzled: Dazzlin' Dance Team, UTA Red Lion Karate, Wanda's Cadettes and Baton Studio, and Kim's Karate. Enjoy music from the Red Lion-Felton Community Band (sponsored by Laucks & Laucks), Lost Generation, Laurel Run, Guitar Gary, Elissa Kolmer, and more. A one-mile run precedes the event with the Chalet Harris singing the National Anthem at the beginning of the event.
